Arvind Swami to play MGR in Kangana's Thalaivi

With Kangana Ranaut bringing former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha's life on screen, the rest of the casting is falling into place.

Arvind Swami has been chosen to play Maruthur Gopala Ramachandran aka MGR in the biopic.

 

The film will be called Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi. It will be dubbed in Telugu as well.

Kangana has been learning Tamil as well as going for prosthetic measurements at Jason Collins' studio in Los Angeles.

Directed by AL Vijay and written by Vijayendra Prasad, the shooting will start in November.
