'I want to be appreciated for the whole of me, not just my body'

Her next film has been directed by Santosh Sivan. It's a short film, to be shot in Gangotri, in Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand. It's a film aimed at film festivals.

But she's getting feature film offers after Oye Lucky as well. There's a romantic comedy and another looking at the underbelly of Bollywood. "I am working with a dance group too, and looking to doing theatres. I keep myself busy," Richa says.

But to have a future in the film industry, exposing is a necessity. Is she okay with that? "I don't make a deal about exposing. I have the same body that 20 other girls have," she replies. "I am not going to show anything people haven't seen before.

"Director Ashim Ahluwalia had approached me with a film, in which some nudity was involved. He asked me if I was okay with some kissing and nudity. I agreed. I know what work he has done. Then, I was offered an item number for a Tamil film. There was less nudity involved there, but it would be shot under a waterfall. I refused that because I knew what eyes men would look at me with.

"I want to be appreciated for the whole of me, not just my body," she explains.
