This shoot was for a Revlon advertisement. We were given the reference, as in the angle, and the kind of lighting they needed for this photograph. It was a rigid setting. We could not change anything that was told to us, as they have a strict format.

Shruti was not comfortable shooting at that angle, as she has a bit of a crooked nose and she had never shot in that angle, because it makes her nose problem very obvious. But I asked her to trust me.

Then I asked her to sit the angle that was given. She couldn't move even an inch, as it was critical lighting. In technical terms, we call butterfly lighting.

When I clicked the first image, she was very upset and thought that the lighting didn't suit her at all. We clicked many photographs, slowly correcting the angle inch by inch, till we finally got the correct image.
