The murder of Neeraj Grover, creative head of Synergy Adlabs [Get Quote] -- allegedly killed by actress Maria Monica Susayraj and her boyfriend Naval officer Lt M L Jerome Mathew -- seems to have inspired Mahesh Bhatt [Images].

The filmmaker is planning a real-life film, inspired by the gory murder. But Bhatt said that he would not demonise Grover, Susayraj or Mathew.

Bhatt and his scriptwriter Shagufta Rafique have already started their homework.

"This film will tell the story through the eyes of a police officer (Rakesh Maria, Joint Commisioner of Police (Crime), Mumbai) who cracked the real life case. We will try to explore the collapse of the value system and family system through our film," Bhatt told PTI.

"We are neither trying to sensationalise the murder nor make a documentary out of it. The film will explore the reasons as to what led to this tragic end of three young, educated people," Rafique said.

"The film is an extension of my last film, Jannat. It is the story of young India, which is ready to cross the laxman rekha of all values to get what they want," Bhatt said.
