December 3, 1979, was a tragic day for English rock band The Who.
While they were performing at the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio, eleven of their fans were trampled to death during a stampede for seats.
The band had no idea of the tragedy until the show was over. It remains a dark spot in their long history.
