Facing the arc lights -- all over again!

Urmila Matondkar, Mast and Rangeela

Every coin has two sides. Urmila Matondkar knows them both. In Rangeela, she plays Mili, a Bollywood-worshiping extra aspiring to have her face painted on the marquee.

She finally gets a big break after a top actress abruptly walks out of a movie. That a well-established hero (Jackie Shroff) is taking special interest in her career only adds to her fortune.

Rangeela explores a lower-middle class girl's fears, ambitions, dreams and anxieties to be on celluloid on a personal level.

In contrast, Urmila's Malika is already a teen sensation in Mast. Tired of being in the limelight, she desires a normal life like other people her age.

And so she runs away and finds refuge in a college guy, who happens to be her biggest fan ever.
