'Pawan Kalyan's presence in the film would appeal to the youth'

Is Jalsa a movie for the youth? The music sounds youthful…

I would say it is a movie for everyone; it has elements which would appeal to the elders too. Of course, Pawan Kalyan's presence would appeal to the youth.

A video game featuring Pawan Kalyan has been released. Do you think this would increase the curiosity level?

This is perhaps the second time that such a game has been released. It would create quite a stir. Something new is always being tried out. The film is likely to be released in the US on the same day as India.

From being a slightly flirtatious character in Madhumasam, you played Amrapali in The Buddha. How easy was it to essay the role?

It was not easy though it was a small character (The Buddha). I did it as a favour as the screenplay writer Sivananda Murthy is like a guru for my own guru Sitarama Sastry garu.

So I could not say no as the intention was pure. It was a dream to do something Indian and a period film. It required only a few days of shoot. I developed the confidence to play the character.
