What made you take up the film and the character you portray?
Trivikram and I have been wanting to work with each other for quite some time but nothing materialised till Jalsa.
Trivikram is an excellent writer and director. The film is being produced by prestigious banner Geeta Arts (Allu Arvind). It also has Pawan Kalyan starring in it. So, it is good to be a part of this film having all these elements.
The film has three women played by Ileana, Kamalinee Mukherjee and myself. I play what may be called the 'second lead'.
As far as the character goes, I play a girl from abroad (an Indo-American). In that sense, I could relate to it (as I grew up in the US) and give it that required touch. I could therefore understand the character. I play a bubbly, confident and lovely character. She knows she looks good and tries hard to make it look as an effortless beauty. She's very aggressive and is not afraid to say what she wants. She is just the opposite of what Ileana is.
Both of us are friends -- schoolmates in the movie. The character played by Ileana looks up to me. And then the twists and turns happen that I can't reveal here.
