Chanda directed by S Narayan will be released without Vijay's voice. S Narayan is famous for the successful films like Cheluvina Chiththaara, Simhadhriya Simha, Suryavamsha, Chandra Chakori, Sevanthi Sevanthi to name a few. He signed Vijay a few days after the release of Duniyawhich later catapulted Vijay to stardom.
Though the shooting was smooth, Vijay did not attend the dubbing work of the film despite receiving full remuneration for the same. S Narayan then decided to go ahead with the release of the film by dubbing his voice.
Chanda is an action film with bit of romance and comedy thrown in. Shubha Poonja is the heroine with Komal and Sundar Raj playing important roles.
S Narayan, who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues has also composed music. It is the second time that S Narayan has shouldered the responsibilities of the music director. He had earlier done music for his own film Pakka Chukka.
