In Sardar, Paresh Rawal played freedom fighter and the first Home Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

Directed by Ketan Mehta, the film deals with the life and times of Sardar Patel, his interaction with Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Paresh Rawal was brilliant in this role.
