The Potter story so far: Book 2

What follows is yet another battle between Harry and Lord Voldemort, and in the end Harry emerges victorious again. He also gets to know that the evil wizard unwittingly transferred some of his powers to him the night he tried to kill him as a boy.

There is a line in the book, which can take on deep significance eventually.

Harry asks Dumbledore: Voldemort put a bit of himself in me?
Dumbldore: It certainly seems so.

Beneath the fun and light tone of the book lurk deeper philosophical undertones: That we are what we choose to be. That being rich doesn't make a person better.

Don't Miss our recap of the third book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, on Tuesday, July 10.
