Top five Telugu films of 2007

Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule (AMAV)

Director: Selvaraghavan
Cast: Venkatesh, Trisha, Sriram

Selvaraghavan's second Telugu film was a huge hit. The title may have been long winding but audience did not take long to relate to it.

A mainstream family entertainer wherein Selva changed his style keeping in mind hero Venkatesh's image, AMAV cruised smoothly.

A love story with Venkatesh and Trisha in the lead, the film had all the pre-requsites -- freshness, 'real life' characters, a little bucolic imagery and the relatability quotient -- to win the audience. The icing on the cake was provided by the superb and subtle performances of Venkatesh and Trisha. The film had a huge canvas in the second half -- the joint family and numerous characters but Selva pulled it off comfortably.
