Ammuvagiya Naan is the sad story of a sex worker who tries to become a housewife. Ammu's sad story starts with her mother selling her to a Madame. Many clients come and go in her life, and one day, she decides to get married to a writer. But life is not that easy for a sex worker to be a housewife.

This simple film was one of the surprise hits of 2007. It was again one of the entries at IFFI Goa.
