All the songs in Kala Bazaar are classics -- from Khoya khoya chand and Saanjh dhali dil ki lagi, to Sooraj ke jaisi goolai chanda si thandak hai pai, Uparwala jaan kar anjaan hai, Na main dhan chahon and Rim jhim ke tarane leke aai barsaat.

The heroine Waheeda Rehman is in love with Vijay Anand, who goes abroad to study. Then, Dev Anand meets and falls in love with her. He pursues her and proves he is a better suitor than her fiance. But there's a problem. Dev is a black-marketeer and Waheeda hates crime.
