There's little left to write about. It's all been talked about, analysed, criticised. Fans know it all. They know the Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. They know Bill Gates paid a cool $13 million to use Start Me Up at the launch of Windows 95. They know why Jagger and Richards are known as The Glimmer Twins. They know it was Andy Warhol who designed the tongue logo.

There are more facts, and still more figures, all of which have been floating around in some form or another since the time your parents went to school. Jagger and Richards met when they were five. The Stones are the highest earning rock band in history. They were the first group to receive royalties from the Soviet Union, in 1975. Ron Wood destroyed his nose with cocaine abuse during the 1978 tour. In 2002, UK's Q magazine named them one of the '50 Bands To See Before You Die.'

Yes, you have heard all of this before. So have your parents. So, possibly, have theirs. Chances are, your children will too. Long live the Stones.
