Ash flanked by actresses Gong Li and Laetitia Casta before the screening of the opening film La Mala Educacion [Bad Education] at the Grand Theatre Lumiere in Cannes.

Directed by Oscar-winning Spanish director Pedro Almodovar it stars Gael Garcia Bernal (star of Alfonso Cuaron's Mexican hit, Yu Tu Mama Tambien), Fele Martinez and Javier Camara, star of Almodovar's previous film, Hable con ella [Talk To Her].

Who are Gong Li and Laetitia Casta did you ask?

Li is the Julia Roberts of Chinese cinema, as one web site describes her. The beautiful star of the Chinese classics, Red Sorghum, Raise the Red Lantern, Farewell My Concubine and The Emperor and the Assassin.

Laetitia is simply the most beautiful woman in France, and that's saying something. The gorgeous lass made her debut in the most expensive French film Asterix and Obelix, her web site http://www.laetitiacasta.com (which we recommend a visit to:-)) informs us, and she has never looked back since.
