Qayamat is a story of courage.

Dreaded arms dealers Ali (Arbaaz Khan), Abbas (Sanjay Kapoor) and Laila (Isha Koppikar) smuggle in a deadly virus which could endanger the lives of millions of Mumbaikars.

Dogging their heels is CBI officer Akram Sheikh (Suniel Shetty). He realises the only man who can help him is Ali and Abbas' former companion Rachit (Ajay Devgan).

The potentially violent Rachit is now in solitary confinement and severely drugged. He pines for his sweetheart Sapna (Neha Dhupia).

Eventually, Rachit is nursed back to health and joins Sheikh in this war against terrorism. Meanwhile, scientist Rahul (Aashish Chowdhary) is working on creating an antidote to the virus.

Will good triumph over evil? Will Sheikh, Rachit and Rahul save a city under threat?
