Kareena's charms fall short of top spot

Mentioned below are listed the most recent films that average good openings. The film that performs best in the current week merits listing at the top. BO verdict for these films may differ regardless of the opening.

Anees Bazme's Deewangee, which released a week ago, continues to do good business, as its box office collections remain stable at 60 per cent. Even the recent Jeena Sirf Merre Liye could not displace it from the top spot, as it collected a mere 50 per cent in its opening day. The Diwali weekend did not help the film either.

The other releases of the week -- Waah! Tera Kya Kehna and Annarth recorded even more dismal openings. In fact, due to distribution problems, Annarth enjoyed its first show only at the last Friday screening, and lost out on the usual three-show release.
