Put on your dancing shoes...
A group of dancers, attired in fluorescent clothes, were rehearsing their steps. Dance director Ahmed Khan was close by, giving instructions. There was an obvious tension in the sir, since everyone had a deadline to meet.
Welcome to the sets of T Rama Rao's Bulandi. It was a cool, breezy day, so one didn't really mind spending an entire afternoon there. Few days before the film's release, the song, Hungama ho jaaye was being shot in Bombay's Film City.
Our eyes focused on Anil Kapoor. He was wearing -- believe it or not -- red track pants, white t-shirt, black jacket and a mustard yellow shirt tied around his waist. And to top this, he had a 'Jamiroquoi' cap.
Raveena Tandon was also around. Dressed in an off-shoulder orange top and flared jeans with beads, she sported the hippie look of the 1970s. The set looked straight out of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, amidst all the splash of colour.
Raveena, who is probably going through the best phase of her career, just had boiled corn for lunch, along with gallons of lukewarm water. When asked to talk about Bulandi, all she said was, "I do not like to talk about my films." After some cajoling, she added, "It is a family entertainer."
But we do have some more information on the film. Set in a village, Bulandi revolves around a family feud. The film has Anil Kapoor playing a double role. Paired opposite him are Rekha and Raveena respectively.
Incidentally, this is the second time the two gorgeous actresses are acting together in a film, after Umesh Mehra's Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi. Also playing a pivotal role is the superstar from South, Rajinikanth.
Meanwhile, lunch was over and it was back to the grind for the stars. Anil seemed to be in a jovial mood, keeping everyone entertained.
Just then, Sanjay Dutt dropped by. Clad in a pathani suit and riding the success of Vaastav, Sanju looked -- to put it simply -- deadly. But he disappeared as suddenly, after having a word with a unit person.
Last word: Bulandi has been in the making for a few years. It will finally see the light of the day on January 7, towards the end of the holy month of Ramzan.
