Reliance in talks for gas supply to Dabhol

October 14, 2006 15:04 IST
Reliance Industries is in negotiations with the Centre and Maharashtra government for supply of gas to the Dabhol power plant from its Krishna-Godavari basin wells.

Sources said an RIL team held meetings last week with the state government to discuss the possibility of the company supplying

gas to the plant.

RIL executives said as the gas pipeline between Kakinada and Uran would be ready by December 2007, the company would be able to supply gas to Dabhol once production started at its KG basin wells, expected to come onstream sometime in 2008. But, pricing was not discussed, the sources added.
