Reliance Info: New prepaid plans

Reliance Infocomm on Thursday announced new schemes for its four important prepaid user segments - youth, semi and urban groups and rural segment in Tamil Nadu.

The company is now offering a new Rs 30 SMS (short message service) top up pack with one-month validity designed for the youth segment which will provide unlimited free SMS to any mobile across Tamil Nadu, V G Somasekhar, circle CEO, Reliance Infocomm Ltd told reporters at a press conference in Chennai.

The company has a total of 10 lakh (1 million) subscriber base in Tamil Nadu, of which the youth segment constituted about 20 per cent, he said.

For the value seeking, semi and urban prepaid segment, Reliance Infocomm has launched two new recharge vouchers with an offer of one-year incoming free calls, Somasekhar said.

In the value seeking segment, Rs 995 e-recharge vouchers offers one year incoming free and has Rs 300 outgoing talktime, which is valid for six months.

In the semi and urban segment, Rs 2200 to Rs 10,000 e-recharge voucher offered one year free incoming facility and it is bundled with full talk time valid for one year.

A Micro e-recharge from Rs 10 to Rs 148, which offers full talk time, aimed at the rural segment, has also been launched.
