Petrol pump strike on June 20

Petroleum retail outlet owners throughout the country have threatened to go on a 24-hour strike from midnight of 19th of this month if their commission is not increased.

The Federation of All India Petroleum Traders has also threatened to go on an indefinite strike from midnight of 17th July if their demands for a higher commission are not met.

The petroleum traders are demanding five per cent commission on the invoice value as against 1.59 per cent on petrol and 1.27 per cent on diesel.

The traders are also demanding implementation of the accord they had signed with the oil companies.
