Forex reserves up $1.79 bn to $197.75 bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $1.789 billion to $197.746 billion for the week ended March 23, 2007, according to the release issued by the Reserve Bank of India on Friday.

Foreign currency assets increased $1.789 billion to $190.392
billion. Gold reserves, SDRs and the Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF were steady at $6.883 billion, $2 million and $469 million, respectively.
