Trade bandh: Bengal, Kerala come to a standstill

Flight services from the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport was hit after employees of the airport joined the strike in protest against privatisation.

Airport sources said more than a hundred passengers who arrived late in the night were stranded. While no flights landed, seven flights, including two international ones -- British Airways' flight to London and Jet Airways' flight to Dhaka--took off early this morning.
