Business magazine Fortune is planning to launch its Indian edition in partnership with media house Anandabazar Patrika in next year.

The Fortune Money Group on Tuesday signed an in-principle agreement with ABP Group for launching 'Fortune India' next year, a Fortune statement said.

The agreement was signed by Vivek Shah, President, Fortune Money Group, D D Purkayastha, CEO, ABP Pvt Ltd and Robert Freidman, International Editor, Fortune.

This would be the third country-specific edition of the magazine after 'Fortune China' and 'Fortune Turkey', which were launched last month.

"India has become a major player in the global landscape. It is in every CEO's agenda and therefore a perfect venue for a leading global business magazine", Shah said.

Purkayastha said Indian market is quickly progressing and we are confident Fortune's innovative and forward thinking content will successfully guide our business leaders.
