Lucknow 6th cleanest city: Survey

In a recent survey conducted by Lifebuoy soap and research body AC Nielson ORG MARG, Lucknow has been ranked sixth on city cleanliness.

Judged on 11 parameter of cleanliness including availability of dustbins, efficient garbage disposal and clean roads, Lucknow scored 103, above the all-city average of 100.

Chandigarh topped with a score of 144, followed by Chennai, Kolkata and Bangalore at second, third and fourth positions, respectively.

The survey named, "Lifebuoy Swasthya Chetna City Meter, 2007" was released by Lucknow Mayor Dinesh Sharma. Conducted in 18 state capitals across the country, the survey aimed at generating awareness on health, hygiene and cleanliness of the city.
