In a relief to Anil Ambani-led Reliance Energy Ltd [Get Quote], the Supreme Court on Monday extended the stay on the bidding process for the country's longest sea link expressway at an investment of over Rs 2,600 crore (Rs 26 billion). Hearing a petition filed by REL, a Bench headed by Justice Tarun Chatterjee extended the stay granted by the Bombay High Court restraining Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd from opening the bids for the project. Incidentally, Mukesh Ambani-led Sea King Infrastructure is the frontrunner for the project.
