In India, often the rich enjoy the benefits of many subsidies, cooking gas being just one of them.

The government has now said that it favours a dual pricing system for domestic cooking gas to reduce the burden of subsidies.

"The present subsidy of 150 per cylinder should not be availed by the affluent class. The subsidy needs to be better targeted," Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office has said.

Do you think dual pricing for cooking gas is a good move?

Do you think that the rich are taking advantage of the subsidies when they can afford it at its actual cost?

What are your suggestions on the subsidy issue? Tell us your views.
