Kuwait petro keen to partner with RIL

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) is in talks with Reliance Industries [Get Quote] and Indian Oil Corporation [Get Quote] for investing in refineries and petrochemical plants in the country.

"In India, we are looking for a refinery and petrochemical joint venture... We talked to everybody in India, one of them is Reliance. We want to see what is the best opportunity for us," KPC's CEO Saad Ali Al-Shuwaib said.

He had met Reliance Industries officials in Mumbai on Wednesday and called on Petroleum Minister Murli Deora on Thursday followed by a meeting with the IOC board.
