Reliance Industries on Thursday reported a 20 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 10,908 crore (RS 109.08 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2007 when compared with Rs 9,069 crore (Rs 90.69 billion) in FY06.

According to a release issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange, turnover increased to Rs 1,05,556 crore (Rs 1055.56 billion) from Rs 81,894 crore (Rs 818.94 billion) in FY06.

For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, net profit increased 14 per cent to Rs 2,853 crore (Rs 28.53 billion) from Rs 2,502 crore (Rs 25.02 billion) in Q4FY06. Turnover moved up to Rs 25,980 crore (Rs 259.8 billion) from Rs 24,629 crore (Rs 246.29 billion) in Q4FY06.
