3i Infotech bags Malaysian order

June 05, 2006 17:10 IST

3i Infotech said on Monday it has bagged an order from Malaysia-based financial institution for SMEs Credit Guarantee Corporation for its universal lending solution -- Kastle.

Under the agreement, CGC would use 'Kastle' to automate the loan origination process of its lending operation across its 16 branches in the country, a 3i Infotech release said.

Kastle's highly parameterised system would allow CGC to reduce time to market innovative products, it said adding the rollout would be completed in a single phase by December.

"With our exponential growth year on year, we have to enhance our capacity for expansion and growth. By upgrading our credit processing system through these initiatives, it will allow us to gain higher operational efficiency besides serving customers better," CGC's MD Datuk Wan Azhar Wan Ahmad said.
