Jet Air announces COO's retirement

Jet Airways [Get Quote] has announced that Peter Luethi, its chief operating officer, will retire at the end of his three-year contract in April 2006 when he will relocate to the United States.

The airline said that it does not plan to fill the position of chief operating officer following Luethi's retirement. Jet has also announced the appointment of Garry Kingshott as Jet Airways' chief commercial officer, effective March 2006.

Kingshott will report to Jet Airways' chief executive officer Wolfgang Prock-Schauer.

Kingshott, an Australian national will bring to Jet Airways over 31 years of corporate experience, with 10 years in the airline industry. He will oversee the areas of marketing and sales, commercial, airport services, and all aspects of customer service.
