3i Infotech acquires Datacons

IT solutions service provider 3i Infotech Ltd has acquired a Bangalore-based software products company, Datacons, in order to strengthen its banking and financial services product portfolio.

Through this acquisition 3i Infotech has acquired three main products of the Bangalore-based company, which offers niche products for the mutual funds segment in the banking, financial services and insurance space, it informed the stock exchanges.

"The acquisition of Datacons will further enhance our BFSI offering and bridge the current gap in our product portfolio by addressing the needs of the Mutual Funds, which is a high growth segment," company's managing director and CEO V Srinivasan said.
