Cisco opens Pune office

Cisco on Friday announced the opening of its Pune office. The opening is in line with Cisco's strategy to expand its customer engagements in Maharashtra and Goa.

The Pune office will be headed by Chetan Sabnis and will be responsible for driving growth in western region.

 "We have seen significant growth in the Western region particularly in manufacturing, education and ITeS verticals. A key aspect of this growth has also been the increasing global ambitions of some of these key businesses," Jangoo Dalal, senior vice president-enterprise, Cisco Systems (India & SAARC) said.

Pune has emerged as a manufacturing hub of the western region with verticals such as education, ITeS also in the growth phase.
