Train travel? Get an Itz Cash card

August 18, 2005 17:13 IST
Travellers on Indian Railways can now avail of a new alternative method of booking their online tickets through 'Itz Cash'.

In this scheme, the photo identity card of the traveller along with the printout of the electronic reservation slip would constitute the authority to travel on the train, said Naveen Surya, executive director, Intrex India."E-Ticketing is a user friendly initiative by Intrex India Ltd and Itz Cash", he said.

A large number of potential customers wanting to buy e-tickets online do not own or use credit cards, in smaller cities and among the less economically advantaged sections of society even in metros. For such customers Itz Cash card is the available option for online rail booking and e-ticketing, he said.

It had been observed that many of those who have credit or debit cards are reluctant in using them for online transactions and micro payments due to the reported risk associated with it, Surya said adding Itz Cash was the safest available option for such customers.

Itz Cash being available in various denominations eliminates the risks and is well suited for online payments. Itz Cash comes in denominations of Rs 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 3000, 5000, 7500 and Rs 10,000.

Itz Cash is available across the country through 88 Asian Sky Shop franchisee network, 4,500 Playwin retailers, 5,500 Dish TV outlets, Oxigen outlets and Indiatimes shopping portal.
