"Everyone will be benefitted. I hope everybody will cooperate and see that after all it is such a big market and we can all take advantage of this," Shourie said on the sidelines of a video conference with Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajapayee on the occasion of the launch of mobile services in Nagaland. He said the Department of Telecom would give its response on unified licensing to the Group of Ministers on Telecom in its meeting on October 30.
Asked if the new regime would end the spate of litigations, Shourie said, "It depends on the operators. If everybody is going to block every move, things will continue the way they are."
On Trai's proposal to impose penalty on Reliance Infocomm for offering 'cellular type' services, the minister said it would not be difficult for DoT to implement Trai's recommendation but final decision in this regard would be taken by the GoM headed by Finance Minister Jaswant Singh.
