Sumitra Mahajan is MoS petroleum

Sumitra Mahajan on Tuesday took over as the minister of state for petroleum and natural gas.
Mahajan attended a roadshow to promote the second round of offering of Coal Bed Methane blocks for bidding under the New Exploration Licensing Policy, as her first official assignment in the new ministry.
Senior petroleum ministry officials briefed her on the functioning of the ministry.
Official sources said Mahajan is the first women MoS in the ministry of petroleum & natural gas.
