No hike in tariff, says Reliance Info

A Correspondent in Mumbai | June 14, 2003 14:29 IST

Reliance Infocomm said on Saturday that it is not planning to hike the tariffs for its wireless in local loop (limited mobility) subscribers.

The Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer Offer continues to be available to Reliance IndiaMobile users, the company said in a media release.

However, the company says that it will soon announce a new tariff plan. It was reported on Friday that the company might increase its WLL tariff by 150 per cent.

"Reliance Infocomm constantly endeavours to address a wide spectrum of consumer segments by tailoring new products to suit a variety of user profiles. Based on the consumer response in the past few months, we will be soon announcing a set of new tariff plan options targeted at all segments of consumers, including those with low to medium monthly usage requirement," the company says.

"The new plans will enable users with lower monthly usage to take better advantage of Reliance IndiaMobile service. The new plans, along with the existing plans, will bring a wider array of options to Reliance IndiaMobile customers," the company said.
