BSNL to offer cable TV on broadband in Kolkata

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd will launch its broadband service, ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), by July-end to provide cable television and video-on-demand in Kolkata.

"We are planning to launch the ADSL service after the fifth trial is over and expect to do that by end of July next," S Maity, general manager (planning), BSNL's Calcutta Telephones, said on Friday.
