Cipla Q1 net up 11%

Cipla has posted a 11 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 67.20 crore (Rs 672 million) for the quarter ended June 30, 2003 as against Rs 60.63 crore (Rs 606.3 million) in Q1FY03.

Total income has increased to Rs 460.91 crore (Rs 4.61 billion) from Rs 407.73 crore (Rs 4.08 billion) in the corresponding period of the last fiscal, acccording to a release issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.

The board has declared a dividend of 100 per cent (Rs 10 per share) for the financial year ended on March 31, 2003, the release added.
