S B Naidu of Nellore has become the first customer of Maruti to win a jackpot of Rs 21 lakh (Rs 2.1 million) as part of the ongoing Rs 50 crore (Rs 500 million) bonanza scheme introduced by Maruti Udyog to push its sales.

The bonanza scheme, which is being offered across all Maruti Udyog dealerships in the country from January 1 to February 28, is applicable on purchases of any Maruti car.

The scheme offers two bumper prizes of Rs 21 lakh each, two grand prizes of Rs 11 lakh (Rs 1.1 million) each, gift coupons of up to Rs 1 lakh (Rs 100,000) on LG products and assured gifts on purchase of every Maruti car.

As part of the scheme, customers can also avail the benefit of free car insurance for one year on certain models.
