Bajaj Bajaj Auto hold meet on Q3 results

A meeting of the Board of Directors of Bajaj Auto Ltd was held today (January 15, 2003) to consider the results for the third quarter of 2002-2003 results.

The company sold Total 3,26,063 two wheelers during DQ-02 as compared to 3,24,496 during DQ-01.

The company sold Total 51,732 three wheelers during DQ-02 as compared to 39,357 during DQ-01.

Motorcycle sales growth continues to be robust at 21.50% for FY-03 Q3 and at almost 40% for April-December 03 v/s the corresponding periods of FY-02. Further sales and market share growth are expected after the March 03 launch of a significant motorcycle.

Quality and cost competitive motorcycles and 3.wheelers combined with positive economic conditions in select markets resulted in exports more than doubling over the last year.

Initiatives to enter the significant markets of South East Asia are underway.
