December 29, 2003 16:40 IST

Tata Infomedia Ltd, now controlled by ICICI Ventures Fund, has sold its entire holding in Titan Industries to Tata group entities, including Tata Sons, for Rs 15.1 crore (Rs 151 million).

The transaction to sell TIL's entire holding of 10.96 lakh (1.09 million) shares of Titan Industries to Tata group follows the agreement between ICICI E-Payments Ltd and Tatas to acquire latter's stake in the publishing and printing firm, a company official said in Mumbai on Monday.

As a part of arrangement, Tata Infomedia was to exit from its investments in the Tata group companies, the official added.

On September 1, 2003, ICICI Ventures Funds Management Company Ltd had bought Tata group's 50 per cent stake in Tata Infomedia for Rs 176 per share through ICICI E-Payments Ltd, a special purpose vehicle, and later made an open offer to purchase additional 20 per cent stake from public.
