HDFC cuts deposit rates by 0.25%

HDFC has reduced interest rates for individual deposits by 0.25 per cent across the board with effect from December 10.

The annual income plan for a tenure of 12-23 months would now attract an interest rate of 5.75 per cent (earlier 6 per cent) while it would be 6.25 per cent for deposits of 36-84 months, HDFC said in a release in Mumbai on Saturday.

Under the monthly income plan, the revised rate is 5.5 per cent and 6 per cent, respectively, for these tenures.

The housing finance major said this reduction was also effective to cumulative, non-cumulative options and EasyWay Savings.
