Satyam bags big Merrill Lynch order

A Correspondent in Hyderabad | December 05, 2003 17:38 IST

Satyam Computer Services Ltd on Friday announced that it had been awarded a multi-year multi-million dollar development and maintenance project from Merrill Lynch.

"Satyam is a part of a consortium involving key technology vendors such as Microsoft and Dell, which bagged this order," the Hyderabad-based firm, India's fourth-largest software services exporter, said in a statement.

Since this is a key requirement of most of Wall Street's investment banking, financial services and research community ushered in by regulatory demands and market pressures; the solution promises extensive industry-wide benefits.

No financial details were given on the project.
