Deora, who is also vice-president of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, was the man who convinced Gates to drop by at the institute despite being in Mumbai for barely eight hours.
The Congress leader said Gates, who had given funds to set up computer institutes in India, had helped poor students find jobs.
