The walls of the fort in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan, runs for over 38 km. It is believed to be the second-longest continuous wall after the Great Wall of China.

Kumar Avinash captures this image of a sunrise at Kanyakumari.

Seen in the forefront are two landmark structures -- the Vivekananda Rock Memorial on your left and the stature of the great poet-philosopher Thiruvalluvar on your right.

Palanki Narayana discovered this rock-carved apsara, which has stood the test of time, in the Gulbarga Sun Temple, Karnataka.

Houseboats anchored at the Kumarakom backwaters in Kerala.

Traditionally, the houseboats were used as grain barges to transport the rice harvested alongside the backwaters; thatched roofs provided shelter to the contents of the barge and the boatmen.

While they were also used by royalty as living quarters, it wasn't until much later that someone hit upon the idea of using them as a tourist attraction. :-)
