Samsung has introduced a fresh lineup of advanced gaming screens in India, designed to enhance gameplay with high-end visuals, cutting-edge features and a glasses-free 3D viewing experience.
The newly-launched Odyssey G8 comes in two size variants -- 27 and 32 inches -- and is recognised as the world’s inaugural 4K OLED display with a 140Hz motion rate, delivering vivid colours and ultra-smooth performance.
Another standout is the Odyssey G9, a massive 49-inch curved ultra-wide display, supporting dual QHD clarity and immersive 32:9 or 21:9 viewing formats. The 1000R arc makes it especially suited for deeply engaging gaming environments.
The Odyssey G9 features top-tier certifications like VESA DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10+, offers fluid gameplay at 144Hz, and ensures fast responsiveness with 1ms timing. It also allows multiple sources to be viewed simultaneously with picture-in-picture support and automatic source switching.
Samsung also unveiled the Odyssey 3D, incorporating eye-tracking sensors and real-time view adjustment software. Through the Reality Hub platform, users can seamlessly access compatible content and switch to 3D mode without any eyewear.
The monitor comes equipped with a versatile range of ports including USB Type-A (for downstream/service), USB Type-B upstream and downstream for data and device connectivity, two HDMI inputs (HDMI IN1 and IN2) for external devices, a DisplayPort (DP IN) for high-resolution video input, and a power port for supplying electricity -- all designed to support seamless multitasking and high-performance gaming.
The 3D-enabled monitor uses artificial intelligence to transform 2D visuals into 3D, includes 165Hz refresh capability, 1ms latency, stereo sound output with spatial surround support, and AMD FreeSync compatibility for tear-free visuals.
The pricing starts at ₹91,299 for the 27-inch G8, goes up to ₹1,18,999 for the larger 32-inch G8 version, and ₹94,099 for the wide-format 49-inch G9. The 3D model, G90XF, is listed at ₹1,27,299.
