Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Pad 2 in the Indian market. The tablet includes facial recognition for unlocking, space for a microSD card, and an optional version that supports 4G connectivity through a SIM tray.
The Redmi Pad 2 features an 11-inch screen with a 2.5K resolution, offering a smooth viewing experience through its 90Hz variable refresh rate and reaching up to 600 nits at its brightest point.
The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset and offers memory options up to 8 GB, along with internal space reaching 256 GB. It runs HyperOS, built upon Android 15.
This pad includes features like Eye Comfort Mode, Moist Screen Interaction, and has received TÜV Rheinland approval for visual safety.
The Redmi Pad 2 is fitted with an 8MP main lens on the back and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front to cover everyday photo and video needs.
The device is available in two shades -- charcoal grey and pastel green. Buyers can also purchase a protective case for ₹1,299 and the Redmi Smart Pen for ₹3,999 as optional extras.
Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi Pad 2 with a 9,000mAh power unit, paired with an 18W adapter for quicker energy top-ups.
The Wi-Fi-only edition of the Pad 2 is priced from ₹13,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The version with both Wi-Fi and mobile data access starts at ₹15,999 for 6GB + 128GB, while the top-tier 8GB + 256GB model is listed at ₹17,999. Sales commence on 24th June via Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, and Xiaomi outlets.
