Jesse jaisi koi nahi! A model, a dancer, a star!

Model and dancer Jesse Randhawa closed the show for Shantanu and Nikhil on Day Four of Lakme Fashion Week.

At a time when designers opt for little-known actors to close their shows, seeing a statuesque model as a showstopper came as a breath of fresh air.

Model and dancer, Jesse Randhawa was the showstopper for Shantanu and Nikhil’s show at the end of Day Four of Lakme Fashion Week.

Jesse walked the runway in a white will- power textured gown with tantalising 3D embellishments to end the breathtaking show.

The model closed the show that featured 39 stunningly beautiful creations.

The designer duo sought inspiration from the colours and charm of the Himalayan waters.

Layering was contemporary and head gears made a striking addition.

The line offered couture wear and the silhouettes incorporated creative construction and intriguing fabric cut-outs.

The colour palette ranged from dramatic grey, white, deep red, blue and black on fabrics like chiffon, georgette, tulle and organza.

Also on display were New Age lehengas and Anarkalis.

Mermaid dresses have been seen on the runway a fair bit this season and Shantanu-Nikhil’s collection was no exception.

But the bit we liked the most, was the fact that the star of the show was not some small-time actor but rather a model who has ruled the runway for years.
